Highlights

  • Trial pits were excavated proving greater depths than expected at West Avoca, indicating the presence of a larger tonnage of spoils and tailings than was originally estimated in the CSA Global Report (2019).

  • The gold assays from the trial pits combined with the expected increase in tonnage implies the existing gold Exploration Target at West Avoca is likely to represent an underestimate. Significantly elevated copper, lead and silver grades are also present.

  • Furthermore, IMC will commission an update of the existing West Avoca Exploration Target with the objective of upgrading it to an Inferred Resource.

IMC Exploration Group plc (IMC), the London-listed gold exploration company based in Ireland, is pleased to report that it has been granted permission to commence appraisal drilling on its North Wexford gold project by the Exploration and Mining Division of the Department of Communication, Climate Action and Environment.  Furthermore, approval has been given to commence trial pit sampling to upgrade IMC’s West Avoca spoils and tailings Mineral Resource Estimate.

Development on North Wexford Gold Project PL 1200 gives IMC immediate capacity to accelerate its exploration programme

IMC Exploration Group plc (IMC) is pleased to announce positive developments on its North Wexford gold project.  An initial review of historical exploration on PL 1200 in Co. Wexford has commenced.  PL 1200 is one of a group of three licences held by IMC that are underlain by the mineralised rhyolitic volcanic rocks of South East Leinster.
