The Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada (PDAC) Convention 2021 commences this morning in Toronto, Canada. IMC Exploration Group plc is pleased to be represented at this virtual convention. Being virtual, this year’s convention is offering a chance to blend new digital experiences with the traditional elements of PDAC.
The PDAC convention is the world’s premier mineral and mining event. Ireland’s Department of the Environment, Climate and Communications will be an exhibitor at the convention and the Geological Survey of Ireland will be hosting a virtual Ireland mining day.
IMC has a number of interesting projects to showcase
IMC will update delegates on its world class spoils and tailings project held in Avoca, Co. Wicklow, Ireland with detail from our recent upgrade on West Avoca. The IMC trial pits excavated across the Ballymurtagh spoil heaps in West Avoca, with potential additional tonnage having been discovered as depths of spoil were greater than have previously been estimated. In addition to the spoil heap tonnage, other trial pits also confirmed a larger area of mine tailings contained within the north lode pit than had previously been calculated. These tailings also contain significant grades of gold and copper. More detailed information is set out in IMC’s announcement on 10th December 2020.
Ongoing work continues with our collaborative partners Trinity College Dublin on a number of developments, including clarifying and understanding the paragenesis of gold at IMC’s Avoca VMS deposit.
The drilling information from our recent drilling on our North Wexford Gold Project, as announced on 23 Feb 2021, reinforces the highly prospective geology and supports IMC’s strategy of understanding the gold mineralisation with the objective of establishing another gold resource.
Networking is a huge part of PDAC. IMC is excited to be part of the 2021 PDAC and looks forward to meeting industry leaders in the coming days.
As IMC’s scheduling may vary over the next few days at PDAC, should anybody wish to engage with IMC in regard to its projects please feel free to contact the Company at + 353 87 281 9215 for further information.
